Dr. Victor Ramirez\u2019s love for animals is evident in every interaction he has with his patients, but his decision to make veterinary medicine a career was motivated by more than just love.<\/p>

Dr. Ramirez was also driven by a powerful desire to improve the relationship between our furry family members and their two-legged counterparts.<\/p>

His modest upbringing made appropriate veterinary care for his favorite childhood friends not only difficult but in many cases impossible.<\/p>

These early experiences shaped his current practice ideology: always offering the gold standard of care, but never hesitating to help clients prioritize diagnostics and treatment options if the gold-standard cannot be met.<\/p>

Dr. Ramirez is a Los Angeles native. He graduated from the University of California, Davis and went on to complete veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Dr. Cynthia Mata grew up in San Bernardino, California, where her love of animals began early in life. Growing up, she spent most of her time caring for her family\u2019s pets which sparked an interest in her to become a bilingual veterinarian. She attended the University of California Davis to obtain a bachelor\u2019s degree in animal science and became a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA.<\/p>

Dr. Cynthia and her family have rescued and continue to care for three German Shepherds named Thomas, Charlie, and Chuck, a Husky mix named Tito, a Shih Tzu named Petunia, and a cat named Cowwy.<\/p>

Apart from veterinary medicine, Dr. Cynthia enjoys collecting plants, forest bathing, hiking, and camping at national parks.<\/p>

Dr. Sonia Lopez grew up in Santa Barbara, California. Her love for animals started at her family\u2019s hometown in Michoacan, Mexico at a young age. She completed her bachelor\u2019s degree at UC
Davis. She later completed her doctorate of veterinary medicine at Texas A&M and Ross University.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

When not at work, you can find Dr. Lopez exploring the city, traveling, at the movies or live
music event.<\/p>

Dr. Martinez was born and raised in Southern California.\u00a0 At the age of 11, he made the decision to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, which has guided him to where he is today.<\/p>


He attended Colorado State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.\u00a0 He then attended Western University of Health Sciences, where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
degree.<\/p>

Originally from Southern California, Dr. Jackson recently returned home after several years of practicing on the East Coast.<\/div>

She earned her DVM from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine and went on to spend the following years working in both clinical practice and veterinary diagnostic medicine.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
Now back in California, Dr. Jackson is excited to provide compassionate, dedicated care to every patient at LAVC.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>

Dr. Ivonne Garrido is a passionate doctor who is excited to serve her community and nearby hometown of Huntington Park. She attended Cal Poly Pomona obtaining a Bachelor of Science majoring in Animal Health Science and became a licensed Registered Veterinary Technologist, working in general practice, internal medicine, and emergency. She then went on to achieve her lifelong dream of obtaining a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences.
